Getting through rehab and a recovery program is a giant step toward a sober lifestyle. But addiction isn’t a curable disease, and no one walks out of rehab with a completely clear ticket. Life is still out there, waiting to be lived in all its beautiful moments and all its stressful ones. This means individuals have to be prepared to use all the skills they learned during addiction treatment to remain in recovery long-term.
The good news is that you don’t have to do any of this alone! Your support center obviously starts with close family and friends, but there are times throughout the recovery journey when alumni from our recovery programs — or even their families — feel alone, isolated and ignored. The world as a whole doesn’t always understand what you’re going through, and that can make it feel impossible to get a safe foothold in that world.
Behavioral Health Centers’ Rehab Alumni Program allows patients, families and alumni to support each other, providing a caring and helpful environment for people long after they’ve completed treatment with us.
