While it’s not a universal requirement, detox without access to medical care is potentially dangerous and undertaken at your own risk. Empire plans provide flexible coverage of detox treatment. Typically, BCBS coverage comes in the form of bronze, silver, gold and platinum plans.

Inpatient Care and Your Empire Plan Insurance Coverage

Empire plan insurance covers addiction treatment regardless of the specific type of substance abuse disorder involved, but the full extent of coverage will vary depending on your specific policy. Some Empire Plans don’t cover inpatient treatment.
